ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The ISO 9001 system integrates internal company processes throughout the organization, facilitates a process approach to managing the business, and provides a system to identify, control, measure and improve various core business processes, which ultimately leads to better business performance and customer satisfaction.

In the ISO 9001 Standard, there are requirements regarding Quality Management System Planning. There are three (3) related requirements:

  1. Actions for threats and opportunities
  2. Quality objectives and plans
  3. Achievement, planning change for the better

With its process-oriented approach, a quality management system according to ISO 9001 is suitable for all industries and companies – from start-ups to global corporations.

We evaluate and certify your quality management system according to the individual requirements of your company. Our quality management system experts have many years of experience.

The benefits of implementing ISO 9001 :

  1. Reduced number of customer complaints

ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements

ISO 14001 can be used as a tool to focus on controlling environmental aspects or the direction of your products and services activities with regard to environmental management, for example, emissions to air, land, or water. Organizations are required to explain what they are going to do, follow available procedures and document their efforts to demonstrate compliance and improvement.

The benefits that will be obtained by the organization by implementing ISO 14001 :

  1. The organization has met the regulations set by the government.
  2. Improve leadership, care and employee interaction with environmental management.
  3. Improve company reputation and gain trust from stakeholders.
  4. Improve financial efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs due to negative environmental impacts.

With ISO 14001 certification, you uncover weak points in your Environmental Management System and create the basis for a continuous and verifiable improvement process. You reduce environmental risks, conserve natural resources and sustainably improve your environmental performance.

Active and effective environmental protection requires not only modern technologies, but also an effective Environmental Management System.

ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System is an internationally recognised security standard set by the international and independent International Organisation for Standardisation.

ISO 27001 provides requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. Risk identification and management as well as proactive internal assessments are an essential part of the requirements set in the standard.

It can help small, medium and large businesses in any sector keep information assets secure. It is extremely beneficial to any company who manages information and has to demonstrate how securely this information is handled, managed and distributed.

Most organizations now rely on information systems to support all of their critical business processes. This has led to an ever growing risk from electronic security threats such as hacking, data loss, breach of confidentiality and even terrorism. These attacks may result in loss of information, theft of confidential data or damage to critical systems and documents, meaning organizations can suffer severe consequences including financial repercussions and reputational risk.

The benefits of implementing ISO/IEC 27001:

  1. Identify risks and put controls in place to manage and minimize them
  2. Flexibility to adapt controls to all or selected areas of your business
  3. Gain stakeholder and customer trust that their data is protected

ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality Management System is based on the ISO 9001 process model approach and is a management systems standard specifically developed for the manufacture of medical devices. Its primary objective is to facilitate harmonized medical device regulatory requirements.

In the medical devices industry, quality management goes hand-in-hand with safety, and both are non-negotiable.

Requirements like those set out by ISO 13485 are strictly enforced throughout every stage of a medical device’s life-cycle, including stages after manufacturing like delivery, service, and maintenance.

In addition to being a regulatory requirement, an ISO 13485-compliant QMS makes good business sense because it helps device manufacturers minimize variation. This in turn provides economic benefits in the form of reduced scrap and general process efficiencies.

When implemented properly, ISO 13485 can be used to reap large cost and efficiency savings.

The benefits of implementing ISO 13485:

  1. Ability to contract with larger companies
  2. Certification helps to win business particularly where procurement specifications require certification as a condition to supply in a highly regulated sector.
  3. Makes a great marketing tool since it has become a requirement for medical devices suppliers to showcase compliance in many countries.

IATF 16949 Automotive Industry Quality Management System is an international standard for quality management systems that specialized to the automotive industry, and is adopted by many automakers worldwide.

IATF 16949 can be applied to the entire automotive supply chain, including vehicle and component production sites and sites where treatment and finishing is carried out. This emphasises the development of a process-oriented quality management system that provides for continual improvement, defect prevention and reduction of variation and waste throughout the supply chain by incorporating common automotive and customer-specific requirements.

IATF 16949 is not a standalone quality management standard, instead, it is implemented as a supplement to, and in conjunction with, ISO 9001. This means that an organization in the automotive sector seeking certification against IATF 16949 must also comply with the ISO 9001 requirements.

The benefits of implementing IATF 16949:

  1. Improved quality of processes and products
  2. Reduction of possible errors and defects in the production process and the supply chain at an early stage
  3. Strengthening the trust of your customers and partners and significantly improving your international market opportunities

HO International Consulting delivers structure to process improvements, helping organisations within the automotive supply chain to improve their performance through more efficient use of resources.
