In the application of management systems, often the internal audit process does not have a significant impact on process performance. This is due to the audit process which only checks the conformity of ISO requirements, so that problems in the process still exist and have not been resolved. The audit engineering approach used for IATF 16949 is the same as for other audit techniques.

However, the audit technique used in the automotive industry is not enough to check conformity to requirements alone, the effectiveness of implementing the system must also improve the performance of the process or system itself.

The objective of GDPMD is to ensure the quality, safety and performance of medical devices which include but are not limited to product sourcing and procurement; transportation and delivery; storage; installation, commissioning, service and maintenance, calibration and after sales service; tracking, documentation and record-keeping practices.

It encourages suppliers to maintain systems that comply with national laws and the Ethical Trade Initiative base code, which is founded on International Labour conventions.


It is important for suppliers to communicate this code to their employees as well as their own suppliers to maintain utmost transparency.

The objective of this standard is to allow organisations to provide accurate and verifiable information that forest and tree based products are sourced from PEFC certified sustainably managed forests, recycled material and PEFC controlled sources. 


The aim of communicating the origin of forest and tree based products is to encourage demand for and supply of those products originating in sustainably managed forests and thereby stimulating the potential for market-driven continuous improvement of the management of the world’s forests.
